Ladies and Gentlemen, the Headblade!
When the founder and president himself writes me an e-mail and wants me to try his product, it's enough to awaken me from my slumber and Blog about it.

Todd, you'll be getting my order shortly. I have to admit, if nothing else, it sure does look cool.

Update
Hello, hello, hello! Here I am, doing well, but still consumed by work. My life sucks! I used to be able to walk into work and leisurely write a Blog entry as I was sipping my morning coffee, or as I ate my lunch, but as you can tell I just don't have that luxury anymore. If I had the time to write, believe me I would be, because I miss it! I'm slammed with meetings and questions and things I have to do from the minute I walk through the door. I'm still working long hours and weekends (sad, but true), and when I'm not there I focus on relaxing and my handsome boyfriend (who is feeling a bit neglected lately, I think).

It's ironic that I've been such a workaholic. I’m really not career minded at all. I work for a non-profit organization rather than a big corporate entity precisely because I never wanted the pressures of "corporate" life. But here I am, working my ass off at crazy hours (even sometimes waking up in the middle of the night to log-on and do work from home). I've made it a personal challenge for myself, though. I figure if I could take care of my mother as she was dying and be by her side as she finally passed, I can handle the pressures of a stoopid systems changeover. Right? Well, Memorial Day Weekend we switchover to the new system, and if all goes well my life will get back to semi-normalcy soon thereafter. At that point, there are a few of you that I’m way overdue to have cocktails with (you know who you are), and a summer of fun and frolicking to enjoy.

Oh – one fun recent event was that we went to Provincetown the weekend of April 20th to celebrate Curt's 38th birthday (he'll probably kill me for writing that). It was a much needed retreat and, as always, the town is its most lovely and rejuvenating in the off-season. We bought a beautiful painting by local artist Doug Marr that now sits over our bookcase as the most predominant art in our livingroom. We ate well, got happily buzzed each night, and took a romantic walk on the beach in the moonlight. We stumbled on "Teeny Tiny Tina Turner's" birthday bash at the Crown, and spent more than a little quality time at the Gifford House Porchside Bar, chatting up Gina, the fun lesbian chick substituting as bartender/manager while proprietor Greg was on vacation. Only in Provincetown would all the customers AND the bartender run out onto the side porch to see a rainbow over the bay after a late afternoon rain. Oh how I love it there.

While I've been a work whore, Curt has been spending his extra time doing some home improvements. We now have a new shelf in the kitchen, which I've been wanting for over a year, we have a new bathroom sink installed (I'm so impressed with Curt for doing that himself), and the window boxes are full of geraniums and ivy.

I'm taking today off because it's sunny and beautiful outside and I need a frickin break!. I want to take a long walk, spend quality time with my boyfriend, and go out with friends tonight for dinner and many cocktails. Cock would be good, too, but cocktails will do. Tomorrow I will be back in the office, because the only time to get anything done is when no one else is there to interrupt me!

Love, love, love. Hugs and kisses!
